OK…haha OK …omg is it really coming out tmrw??? The story I always wanted to do and planned to do….the story and photos that I planned and wanted to share with women so that they could make an informed choice about their own healing process. The story of my surgery, before, during AND after. The story (or parts that were being saved for when I was ready to share it) that for a while was used against me as some insane weapon of “shame” and used to distort the facts for purposes other than helping educate women about what this kind of surgery requires - both physically and emotionally.

Well thank you OK magazine for doing the story the way it was always meant to be. Post surgery and with all the knowledge of what goes on when making such a major change to your body/life. Hopefully it will help others decide what is right for them and will also help people actually realise that it is not about what I look like now or whether or not my body is considered good enough or thin enough or perfect enough but how far I have come. Ten years ago I was eating myself to death. Now I am living life to the fullest, listening to my heart, following my dreams and hoping to help others do the same.
